Osem U.K. Limited Has Purchased The Business of Yarden GB Limited

An agreement has been reached between Osem U.K. Limited and Yarden GB Limited, under which Osem has purchased the business of Yarden in the UK.

Osem sees this deal as a stepping stone to strengthen it's ambient range in the U.K. Kosher market with Yarden's chilled and frozen products, thus offering a full Kosher range to the trade and consumers.

Yarden is happy to know that it's business of two decades in the UK will be in trusted hands and will be developed further under the ability and capacity of Osem Group.

Reorganisation that will follow will assure more efficient service, products development and quality assurance.

Mr Giora Zucker, Managing Director of Osem U.K. Limited has commented on the deal;

"This is a milestone for the company which also celebrates in 2009 its 50th year of service to the community in the UK, in which our company has lead the Kosher foods in the UK with innovations in the fields of snacks and bakery products, modernised packaging, and replaced ingredient, to achieve both taste and health in the products.

Following previous takeovers of Mark Marks & Co. in London and B.Rosenthal Ltd near Manchester, Osem already played an important part of supplying the housewives keeping kosher, with a large selection for their weekly shopping basket.

The purchase of Yarden business in the UK will increase Osem's selection and strengthen it's chilled and frozen products list".
